Patience was rewarded with exceptional wines that are pretty, elegant expressions of their place, true Oregon Pinot Noir. The grape skins were allowed to soak in the clear juice until morning. Then, infused with a beautiful pink hue, a small percentage of juice from several tanks was assembled to create a balanced blend to be fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures, retaining the wine's generous ripe-fruit aromas. The 2007 Firesteed Pinot Noir Rosé offers intense aromas of strawberries and ripe citrus with a hint of rose petals. The wine provides a luscious compote of flavors containing cherries, strawberries and blueberries, spiced with star anise and vanilla bean that all combine just shy of sweet, but instead glide towards rich and intense. Balanced acidity kicks the flavors into high gear with a wallop of flavor on the finish. WINE
