Firesteed 2000 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Reviews

Firesteed Willamette Valley Pinot noir ($19). This Oregon producer has been making an inexpensive pinot noir for a long time that represents one of the best values in the state at $12 a bottle.   But this debut of its reserve quality pinot with the famed Willamette label kicks it up a notch - apologies to Emeril Lagasse.  We were pleasantly surprised to find Firesteed making a complex pinot noir with lasting ripe raspberry fruit, vanillin oak and dollops of chocolate and coffee.

"Pinots top Turkey Day picks", Frances Jaques, The Capital, November 2003
